Apparently this was written before you read much from him. Hopefully by now you have and would have discovered he dealt with it extensively. What you describe about original sin above is something called Pelagianism - a heresy I can assure you Anselm did not hold. If you don't like the idea of Original Sin, that's your business but don't read into theological treatises like this things that aren't there.
